Gene by Agent Provocateur - The Epitome of Luxury Lingerie

No one else does lingerie quite like Agent Provocateur. Every season they bring out a host of stunning new designs that are super luxurious, sexy and above all classy, but every now and then Agent Provocateur will out-do even themselves, coming up with a piece that leaves everything else looking, well, quite boring really. I couldn't wait to see their new Soirée collection that launched today - the teaser image on their homepage was a gorgeous red leopard print set and pretty as it is, it pales in comparison to the Gene range from the same collection.

Gene is, quite simply, stunning. It is made from a very expensive-looking thick guipure embroidery lace (definitely not the kind of lace your high-street bras and knickers are made from!) in navy blue, set against a lighter blue French silk satin background.

The highlight of the range is the corset - priced at a massive £950 but well worth it if you have that kind of money lying around - which is a traditional boned style with underwired, padded cups for a gorgeous silhouette. If that's a bit (or a lot) out of your budget the bra set would still make an eye-catching addition to any lingerie drawer. The supportive, plunge-style bra is available with either a wide-lace trimmed brief (my favourite!) or a sexy low-rise thong.

"Gene strikes the balance perfectly between couture lingerie and form fitting shape wear" (Agent Provocateur website)
